Mooring Registrations & Wait Lists

Inspections

  • Mooring inspections must be completed every three years.
  • Mooring inspections expiring in any given year must be completed by August 31st of that year.

 

Mooring Renewals

Bristol now contracts with onlinemooring.com for mooring registration renewals and wait list applications. Onlinemooring.com is a web-based registration system. It may be required to upload photos and documents.

  • All mooring renewal applications and payments are due each year by June 30th.
  • The Clerk’s Office is available to provide tech support by appointment.  For more information call 563-5270 or email clerk@bristolmaine.org.

 

Mooring Wait Lists

  • Submit an online application at onlinemooring.com
  • Consult Bristol's Mooring Field map.  Not all mooring fields are near public landings.
  • You may choose up to two (2) harbors.  Any person choosing more than two harbors without Harbormaster approval will automatically be removed from all wait lists and will lose their position in line.
  • The following priorities will be used when determining the next available position on the wait list:
  1. Shorefront owners requesting an initial location adjacent to their property
  2. Resident commercial vessel owners
  3. Resident pleasure vessel owners
  4. Resident commercial vessel owners and marine operators requesting multiple locations
  5. Non-resident commercial owners
  6. Non-resident pleasure vessel owners
  7. All others
  • All wait list positions are dependent on berth size available.
  • Initial wait list application fees are due at the time of application submission.  Any new wait list applications not paid within 30 days of submission will be removed and will lose their position in line.
  • Wait list applications must be renewed and fees paid each year by June 30th.  Any wait list application not renewed and/or fees not paid will be removed and will lose their position in line.
  • Any wait list applicant who refuses an offered mooring berth and who wishes to remain on the mooring wait list will be placed at the bottom of the appropriate mooring wait list.
