How do I obtain a Shellfish License

Recreational Shellfish Licenses for the year 2017 are available beginning January 3, 2017, and throughout the year.

Commercial Shellfish Licenses are currently closed. Commercial Licenses are only available in January. Commercial Shellfish Licenses go on sale to those license holders who are grandfathered by virtue of their conservation work.

Any licenses remaining after 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 31, will be issued by lottery drawing at that time. Those wishing to participate in the lottery may obtain applications during the Town Clerk’s regular office hours. The completed applications must be submitted to the Town Clerk by 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 31.
